There’s always something new to discover at Pourvoirie Rudy.

A trail that has nearly disappeared beneath the vegetation. An old access route that needs to be cleared. A lake that was once regularly visited and is just waiting to be rediscovered. And sometimes, at the end of the trail… some wonderful surprises!

Going Farther, Discovering More

Every year, we work to improve our trails and make our different lakes easier to access.

And after the heavy storms we experienced this summer, there was plenty of work to be done!

Out here, nature is quick to remind us who’s really in charge. Leave a trail untouched for a while, and it can quickly disappear beneath new growth, fallen trees and thick vegetation.

That means clearing brush, removing obstacles, cutting fallen trees, walking, searching… and most of all, being curious enough to find out what lies a little farther ahead.

But our work isn’t only about maintaining existing trails.

We also enjoy exploring new areas, reopening forgotten access routes and rediscovering lakes that were once regularly visited but whose trails had gradually disappeared over the years.

When an Old Trail Leads to New Horizons

That’s exactly what makes this work so rewarding.

Behind a trail waiting to be reopened, there may be a corner of the territory simply waiting to be rediscovered.

This summer, Ti-Louis Lake and Écurie Lake, now accessible again, gave us some wonderful surprises.

Even in August, the trout were still biting, and several of our anglers enjoyed some beautiful catches.

The cooler temperatures we experienced this summer may have had something to do with it.

Whatever the reason, the results are very encouraging,  and we’re already looking forward to seeing what these lakes have in store for us next spring!

Nature at Its Wildest

Working on these trails also reminds us of what makes Pourvoirie Rudy such a special place.

Here, nature is still wonderfully wild.

It quickly reclaims its territory, reshapes our trails and sometimes forces us to change our plans. But that wild, unpredictable and occasionally untameable character is also what makes this land so precious.

We want to preserve it while giving our guests the opportunity to discover some of its most beautiful hidden places, always with the greatest respect for the environment.

And every trail we reopen gives us another opportunity to better understand this territory we have the privilege of sharing with you.

Where Will Your Next Stay Take You?

For some guests, the pleasure will be returning to a lake they’ve known and loved for years.

For others, it may be following a new trail and discovering an area of Pourvoirie Rudy they’ve never explored before.

That’s part of the Rudy experience: knowing where your day begins… without always knowing exactly what discovery might be waiting at the end of the trail.
