In the morning, you leave the cottage with your fishing rods and everything you need to spend a few hours on the lake. You enjoy the peace and quiet, the fresh air and the nature all around you.

Then comes that long-awaited moment: a fish bites!  And when a few beautiful trout make the trip back to the cottage, the day isn’t necessarily over. At Pourvoirie Rudy, it can continue… all the way to the table.

From the Lake to the Smoker

It’s hard to get any fresher than this: catch your own trout, prepare it on site, place it in the smoker and enjoy it just a few hours later.

A smoker is available free of charge to our guests. Those who enjoy smoked fish can prepare their own catch right here at the outfitter and enjoy it just the way they like it.

And there’s something especially satisfying about watching the trout you caught yourself slowly take on that beautiful colour in the smoker.

Even the waiting becomes part of the pleasure. 

A day on the lake is also about all those little moments that come with it.

The morning coffee before heading out. The stories shared in the boat. The fish that bites when you least expect it. Returning to the cottage. Preparing the meal. And then comes the moment when everyone gathers around the table to enjoy the result of the day.

From the lake to the smoker, and from the smoker to the table.
